Program overview

Brady's research & development rotational program provides rich and diverse assignments

Our Research & Development Rotational Program consists of a series of three diverse, eight month assignments over a two-year period. The rotations provide a thorough exposure to Brady Corporation’s new product development process and R&D culture. Participants may be exposed to other functional areas such as Program Management Office, Quality, Intellectual Property, Marketing and IT.

Program Rotation

Our Research & Development Rotational Program targets the following areas:

Materials – This program exposes participants to all facets of the Materials Group:

  • Process Engineering – Apply engineering and scientific methods to solve manufacturing problems to improve a product or process
  • New Product Development – Use the established new product development process and guide the development of one or more materials for a market or customer
  • Technical Service – Research product or application, design and conduct tests to obtain data if needed

Systems – This program introduces participants Brady new product development, value engineering and technical support.

  • New Product Development – Work with a global cross-functional team of engineers developing printer products for Brady’s customers.
  • Value Engineering – Work with various Brady manufacturing facilities to solve problems, improve processes and identify cost reductions.
  • Technical Support – Research and prototype concepts for Brady’s marketing organization to identify areas of product opportunity.

Software – Participants can choose three rotations from these areas of development.

  • Desktop Rotation – Work in Microsoft technologies to create desktop software for Brady's printing systems.
  • Mobile Rotation - Create mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms to serve Brady's safety markets.
  • Web/Cloud Rotation- Create back end services and front end UI designs to support Brady software products.
  • IT Rotation - Work on web applications and back end services to support Brady's wide variety of websites.
  • Systems Rotation - Work on applications running on Brady's line of printing systems.
